We live in a home that was built in the 70s, has had some additions and renovations, and the insulation is SPARSE at most. There are parts that there is no insulation at all.
Joel helped us understand how to decide between bringing up our poor insulation to the minimum R38 vs R60 (we chose R49). There was no question that baffles would be installed and extended to make sure the attic had proper air flow (while other companies said that the pitch of our roof would prevent them from installing them). He was willing to give us a deal on the can light covers we would need since we have so many(~25) but luckily we found out that only 5 of ours are not rated for insulation contact (check in the can).
He checked out our crawl space and came out with pictures and great explanations. Little did I know that our vapor barrier had been damaged and our wood was starting to mold. He was great at explaining the best insulation methods for our crawl space and gave us separate quotes for each of the projects.
Their lead time is fantastic, they keep up with their jobs, so you are only waiting a few days after you make your decision.
I also asked him why their Google maps presence seemed so recent and if they were a new company, but he explained that the company has been here for YEARS, just hasn’t been online. Hence, the lack of quantity of reviews and and the newer pictures. So don’t worry, they have years of experience!
